Strawberry Shortcake Cheesecake Shooters


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces, weight Soft Cream Cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • ½ whole Lemon, Juiced
  • 7 ounces, fluid Sweetened, Condensed Milk
  • 1 Pound Cake (standard Size Loaf), Store Bought Or Homemade
  • 12 whole Fresh Strawberries, Washed And Hulled
  • Whipped Cream, For Garnish (optional)

Preparation

  1. Blend cream cheese, vanilla and lemon juice in the bowl of your stand mixer using whisk attachment. Slowly add in condensed milk and continue mixing. Peaks should start to form when it’s ready.
  2. Cut pound cake into 1-inch slices. Using the rounded open part of a shot glass, press down into the cake slices making a round circle. Pop out the cake piece and drop it into the bottom of a shot glass. Continue with the rest of the cake. I made 12 desserts.
  3. Spoon cheesecake mixture into the shot glass. (If the top is too narrow, use a small measuring spoon to add in the mixture.)
  4. Top with one fresh strawberry or a strawberry half if the berry is too large.
  5. Squirt a dollop of whipped cream on top of each glass and serve.

Steps to prepare Cajun Spiced Salmon recipe

Ingredients

  • 1-½ teaspoon Sea Salt
  • 2 teaspoons Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
  • 1-½ teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Thyme
  • ½ teaspoons Cayenne Powder (you Can Add More If You Wish)
  • 4 Salmon Fillets Or Salmon Steaks
  • Olive Oil Or Non-stick Spray, For Your Pan

Preparation

  1. Combine all of the seasonings in a bowl and mix well. Place the salmon fillets (or steaks) in a large seal-able freezer bag. Add the seasoning to the bag and toss to coat. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to 2 hours.
  2. Preheat oven to 400 F, or preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  3. If baking, brush an oven safe pan with some olive oil or a non-stick spray. Place the salmon into the pan and bake for approximately 20 minutes or until the salmon flakes easily.
  4. If grilling, place the salmon on the hot grill and grill for approximately 4 to 5 minutes per side; 6-8 minutes for salmon steaks. When done, the salmon should be light in color and flake easily through the thickest part.

Pepper Chicken Roast Recipe Preparation steps


Ingredients:

  • 1 kg chicken, washed and cut into medium sized pieces
  • 1″ cinnamon stick
  • 1 cardamoms
  • 2 cloves
  • 7-8 whole pepper corns
  • 10-12 curry leaves
  • 2 large onions, finely sliced
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 3-4 green chillis, slit
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric pwd
  • 1 tsp freshly ground pepper pwd
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tbsps oil

Roast and make a paste:

  • 5-6 curry Leaves
  • 3 shallots or a small onion, sliced
  • 1/2 cup grated coconut
  • 10-12 pepper corns
  • 3/4 tbsp coriander seeds
  • 1/2 tsp fennel seeds
  • 3 cloves
  • 2 cardamoms
  • 1″ cinnamon
  • pinch of nutmeg

Steps to prepare:

  1. Heat one and a half tbsps of oil in a heavy bottomed vessel, add cardamom, cloves, cinnamon stick and pepper corns and saute for a few secs. Add the curry leaves and saute till crisp.
  2. Add the sliced onions and saute till transparent, approx 5-6 mts. Add ginger garlic paste and saute for 4 mts. Add turmeric pwd and pepper pwd and combine well. Add the chicken and cook on high for 4 mts. Reduce flame, add salt, place lid and simmer till chicken is almost cooked.
  3. Heat half a tbsp of oil in another cooking vessel, add curry leaves, coriander seeds, fennel seeds, pepper corns, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg and saute for 3 mts on low flame. Next add the sliced shallots and saute for 2 mts. Add the grated coconut and saute on low flame for 4 mts. Turn off heat and cool. Grind to a paste without adding water.
  4. Add this paste to the three fourth cooked chicken and combine well. Add few tbsps of water if the curry is too dry. Otherwise there is no need to add water. Place lid and cook for 5 mts. Now increase flame, and toss the contents for 2-3 mts. Lastly sprinkle some kasuri methi, combine well and turn off heat.
  5. Serve hot

While most of us practise yoga for maintaining the right posture or reducing weight, yoga can also help take care of our feet. Wearing shoes for long hours, not only restricts motion but may also cause foot problems. Here are three simple yoga exercises to get rid of sore feet.
Tree Pose (Vrikshasana)
Stand with your knees straight. Bend the left knee and place sole of left foot on inner right thigh in such a way that toes point down and the left knee points out to side. Raise arms straight overhead and hold the pose. Repeat on other side. This exercise will help strengthen the calf and shin muscles.
Downward Dog (Adho Mukha Svasana)
Lie on your stomach. Maintain a tight spine and rest your palms on the floor. Exhale and lift your back toward the ceiling in such a way that your legs are pushed back. Assume an upturned 'V' pose.
Bow Pose (Dhanurasana)
Lie flat on your stomach with hands resting at your sides. Exhale and bend your knees, bringing your heels as close as you lower back, keeping your knees hip-distance apart. Reach back with both hands and hold onto your outer ankles. Inhale and lift your heels up toward the ceiling. Your head, chest and upper torso should also lift off the floor. Hold this pose for 30 seconds and gently return to the original position.

Steps to prepare Prawn patia

Ingredients:

  • Dry roast 1 tsp cumin seeds, 1 tsp coriander seeds and 1/2 tsp fennel seeds. Cool and then grind them into a powder.
  • Squeeze some lime juice and salt on the shrimp and set it aside. Also, make a wet paste of two cups of chopped red onion, four green chili, two ginger and about four cloves of garlic, 3 tbsp yogurt and a little bit of water.

Method:
Heat a frying pan, then toast 1/2 tsp of cumin seed, 1/2 tsp of coriander seed and 1/4 tsp of fennel seeds. Add oil, and then add 1/2 tsp of mustard seed, 1/4 tsp of paprika and 1/4 tsp of red chili powder. When the spices start popping, lower the heat and add the wet onion paste. Fry this for about 20 to 25 minutes in medium heat, till you see it turning golden and there is no raw smell. This will need some time, so make it a point not to try and hasten the process. Now add the dry roasted spice powder, 1 tbsp of tomato puree, 1 tsp of white vinegar, salt and sugar to taste. Fry for 5 more minutes. Afterwards, add about 1/2 cup of water and let the gravy come to a simmer. Add the shrimp but do not overcook it. When the shrimp is done, garnish with some finely chopped coriander and serve with hot rice.

Ingredients

  • Chicken breast 2/4 pieces cut in half
  • Black pepper 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Barbeque sauce 2 tsp

  • Oil 4 tbsp

Method: Marinate the chicken (without adding oil into the mix) and keep it standing for 1 hour. Shallow fry the marinated chicken into golden brown. Or else grill it at 180 degree after brushing the marinated chicken with oil for 15 minutes in a microwave.

Grilled Chicken Salad with Creamy Greek Style Vinaigrette


Ingredients for Dressing:

  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard
  • 1 Tablespoon Mayonnaise
  • 1 clove Garlic, Peeled And Minced
  • ¼ teaspoons Dried Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Chopped Chives
  • Salt And Pepper, to taste

For salad:

  • 3 cups Assorted Salad Greens
  • 1 whole Tomato, Diced
  • ¼ whole Red Onion, Diced
  • 1 whole Chicken Breast, Grilled And Sliced
  • ½ cups Crumbled Feta Cheese

Preparation

  1. Add all of the dressing ingredients into a bowl and whisk until combined. Or you can add the ingredients into a jar with a tight fitting lid (like a Ball canning jar) and shake vigorously until the dressing comes together.
  2. Assemble your vegetables on 2 plates, top with the grilled chicken and the crumbled cheese and pour the dressing over it.

Banana Bread with Chocolate Swirl preparation

Ingredients
  • 3 whole Overripe Medium-sized Bananas, Peeled And Mashed
  • ⅓ cups Canola Oil
  • ½ cups Coconut Sugar (cane Sugar Works Also)
  • 2 whole Large Eggs
  • 2 Tablespoons Greek Yogurt (plain Yogurt Works Also)
  • 2 teaspoons Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1-¼ cup Rolled Oats, Ground (or Just Over 1 Cup Oat Flour)
  • ¾ cups Brown Rice Flour
  • 1 Tablespoon Ground Psyllium Husk
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoons Ground Nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Baking Soda
  • ½ teaspoons Baking Powder
  • ½ cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 375ºF (180ºC). Either grease a standard size loaf pan directly with cooking spray or oil, or line the pan with parchment paper and then spray the insides. Be sure to have at least half an inch of parchment paper hanging over the sides of the loaf pan
  2. In a large bowl, mix the mashed bananas, oil, coconut sugar, eggs, yogurt, and vanilla together.
  3. In another bowl, mix together the ground rolled oats (or oat flour), brown rice flour, psyllium husk, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, baking soda, and baking powder.
  4. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. I like to add the flour mixture in three batches.
  5. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips. I typically heat it in the microwave for about a minute and then check the chocolate. Be careful with hot bowls! If the chocolate has barely melted, continue microwaving at 15-second increments until the chips are partially melted and very soft. The chocolate doesn’t need to be saucy—just melted enough so that you can stir the chips together into a creamy consistency.
  6. Pour the banana batter into the loaf pan. Add dollops of the chocolate sauce on top of the batter.
  7. Using a butter knife, swirl the chocolate around so that you create a nice swirl pattern.
  8. Bake the bread for about 50-55 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean when you pierce through the banana bread portions. Try not to test the bread by sticking the toothpick in the chocolate portions, as the toothpick will always come out with gooey melted chocolate. Remove pan from oven.
  9. Let the bread cool for at least 45 to 50 minutes before taking it out of the pan for slicing.
  10. Store any leftovers in an airtight container. Refrigerate any bread that you haven’t finished in several days.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Plain Greek Yogurt
  • 2 ounces, weight Neufchâtel Cheese
  • ½ cups Frank's Red Hot Wings Sauce (divided)
  • ½ teaspoons Black Pepper
  • 10 whole Chicken Hot Dogs
  • 10 whole Whole Wheat Hot Dog Rolls, Warm
  • 1 cup Romaine Lettuce, Chopped Into Strips
  • 3 whole Green Onions, Both Green And White Parts, Sliced
  • 2 whole Celery Stalks, Diced Small
  • ½ cups Blue Cheese Crumbles

Preparation

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt, Neufchâtel cheese, half of the Frank’s sauce and black pepper. Set aside.
  3. Grill your chicken dogs for about 7-8 minutes on each side or until they are warm and have perfect grill marks. Remove them from the grill to a plate. Dip each chicken dog into the remaining half of the hot sauce.
  4. Assemble your chicken dogs by layering romaine lettuce on the bottom of the bun, followed by the chicken dog, green onions, celery, and blue cheese. Drizzle the yogurt sauce over top, and serve hot. Enjoy!

Steps to prepare Spicy Capsicum Chicken Recipe


Ingredients:

  • 1/2 kg chicken, washed and cut into medium sized pieces
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, quartered
  • 2 capsicums, cut into big pieces
  • 1 1/2 tbsps tomato sauce
  • garam masala pwd (1″ dalchini, 1 elaichi and 2 cloves finely ground)
  • fresh coriander leaves for garnish
  • salt to taste
  • 1 1/2 tbsps oil

For marinade: (marinate chicken with below ingredients and place in refrigerator for 2-3 hrs)

  • 1 tbsp curd/yogurt
  • 1/2 tsp cumin pwd
  • 1 1/2 tsps coriander pwd
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli pwd
  • 1/2 tsp pepper pwd
  • pinch of turmeric pwd
  • 1 1/4 tsps ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp soya sauce
  • 1 tsp vinegar or lemon juice
  • salt to taste

Procedure for preparation:

  1. Marinate chicken with curd, red chilli pwd, pepper pwd, coriander pwd, cumin pwd, turmeric pwd, lemon juice, soya sauce, salt and ginger-garlic paste for at least 2 hrs. Place in refrigerator.
  2. Heat half of the oil in a cooking vessel, add the chopped onions and fry till transparent. Add the capsicum and tomatoes and saute for 3 mts. Turn off heat, remove and keep aside.
  3. In the same vessel, add the remaining oil, add the marinated chicken and cook on high heat for 4-5 mts, combining the ingredients once in a while.
  4. Reduce to medium heat, let the chicken cook for 8-10 mts, uncovered. Add one fourth cup of water and cook till chicken turns soft and there is hardly any water left.
  5. Finally add the garam masala pwd and tomato sauce. Add the sauteed onion, capsicum and tomatoes. Combine and cook on high for 3-4 mts. Turn off heat and garnish with fresh coriander leaves. This is a semi-dry dish with less gravy.
  6. Serve hot with white steamed rice, rotis or naan.

Steps to prepare Mango Panna cotta |Mango Dessert Recipe

Ingredients
  • Fresh cream - 1 1/4 cup (I used Amul cream)
  • Full fat milk - 3/4 cup
  • Sugar - 1/2 cup (a little less than 1/2 cup)
  • Vanilla essence - 1 tsp
  • Cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Agar agar - 2 tsps OR 1 1/4 tsps gelatin
  • Water - 3 to 4 tbsps (warm)
  • For Mango Coulis:
  • Mango puree - 1 1/2 cups
  • Sugar - 2 tbsps (add according to sweetness of mangoes)
  • Lemon juice - 1 tsp
  • Cardamom powder - pinch

Method
  1. To prepare mango coulis. In a small vessel, add the mango puree, sugar, cardamom powder and simmer for 2 mts. Turn off flame, add lemon juice and mix. Allow to cool.
  2. Lightly grease the insides of the bowls you are going to serve the panna cotta. Divide the mango coulis among the dessert bowls and cover with cling wrap and refrigerate for an hour or two.
  3. In a small bowl, soak agar agar powder in hot water and keep aside for a few mts.
  4. In a stainless steel vessel, add whole milk and fresh cream and bring them to a boil on low flame. Add sugar and simmer till the sugar dissolves. Stir occasionally. Turn off flame.
  5. While the sugar is dissolving in the milk mixture, prepare the agar agar mixture. Place the small bowl on low flame and stir continuously till the agar agar melts and becomes a clear mixture with no lumps. Remove from heat.
  6. Test the milk mixture with your fingers to see if there is any undissolved sugar. The sugar has be to completely dissolved and blend well with agar agar. Place this over an ice bath (bowl of ice water) and whisk well till luke warm.
  7. Add the cooled agar agar mixture, vanilla essence and cardamom powder to the milk mixture and mix well till it is well blended.
  8. Remove the cling wrap from the refrigerated dessert bowls with mango coulis and divide the milk-agar agar mixture among them. Cover with cling wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 to 6 hrs or overnight.
  9. At the time of serving, remove the cling wrap, garnish with few mango cubes.

Ingredients

  • Sweet Corn, cream style: 1 tin
  • Chicken stock: 1.25 litres (5 cups) OR water
  • Chicken - 1/4 kg, with bone washed and drained
  • Spring onions - 2 tbsps, finely chopped
  • Ginger - 1/2 tsp, finely minced
  • Spring onion greens - 4 tbsps, finely chopped
  • Cornflour - 2 1/2 to 3 tbsps (corn starch)
  • Light soy sauce - 1/2 tsp
  • Egg - 1, beaten lightly
  • Sugar: 3/4 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Sesame oil - 1 tsp
  • White pepper powder - as required
  • Spring onion greens: 3-4 tbsps (finely chopped) for garnish

Method

  1. Heat oil in a heavy bottomed vessel, add spring onion whites and ginger and saute for a mt. Add the shredded chicken and saute for a mt. Add cream style sweet corn and chicken stock or water and bring to a boil. Reduce flame and cook on low flame for a mt.
  2. Add sugar and adjust salt to the simmering soup and cook further for 3-4 mts.
  3. Mix the cornflour in 4 tbsps of water and keep aside.
  4. Add the cornflour mixture and go on stirring till the soup thickens on low to medium flame. Slowly add the beaten egg and continuously stir in one direction only. Ensure that the flame is low and the egg will form into thin white threads in the soup. Keep stirring for few more seconds and turn off heat.
  5. Pour into soup bowls, garnish with spring onion greens and serve hot. You can season with white pepper powder.

Simple steps to prepare spicy Fish Fry recipe

Ingredients:

  • 7-8 fish fillets
  • 1 1/2 tbsps oil

For the marinade:

  • pinch turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp cumin pwd
  • 2 tbsp chopped onions
  • 1/2 tsp saunf pwd (fennel,aniseed)
  • pinch garam masala
  • salt

Steps to prepare :

  1. Make a paste of all the above ingredients called for marinade.
  2. Clean fish. Apply the marinade to all the fish fillets and keep aside for 20 minutes.
  3. Heat 1 1/2tbsps oil in a heavy bottomed vessel or non-stick pan, add few curry leaves and fry for few seconds. Now add the marinated fish fillets and cook them on slow fire for 12-14 minutes. See that the fish does’nt burn or get stuck to the vessel.
  4. Flip over the fried fish and let them cook and brown on the other side. Cook for 8-10 minutes.
  5. Turn off heat and serve hot as a side dish

In my research in China , I came across some materials which say that people with cancer usually have stones. We all have gallstones. It's a matter of big or small, many or few.

One of the symptoms of gallstones is a feeling of bloatedness after a heavy meal. You feel like you can't digest the food. If it gets more serious, you feel pain in the liver area." So if you think you have gallstones, Dr. Lai offers the following method to remove them naturally.

The treatment is also good for those with a weak liver, because the liver and gallbladder are closely linked.

Regimen:
1. For the first five days, take four glasses of apple juice every day. Or eat four or five apples, whichever you prefer. Apple juice softens the gallstones. During the five days, eat normally.

2. On the sixth day, take no dinner.

3. At 6 PM, take a teaspoon of Epsom salt (magnesium sulphate) with a glass of warm water.

4. At 8 PM, repeat the same. Magnesium sulphate opens the gallbladder ducts.

5. At 10 PM, take half cup olive oil (or sesame oil) with half cup fresh lemon juice. Mix it well and drink it. The oil lubricates the stones to ease their passage.

The next morning, you will find green stones in your stools. "Usually they float," Chiu Nan notes. "You might want to count them. I have had people who passes 40, 50 or up to 100 stones. Very many."

"Even if you don't have any symp tom s of gallstones, you still might have some. It's always good to give your gall bladder a clean-up now and then.

Steps to prepare Spicy Mutton Curry Recipe


Ingredients:

  • 1 kg mutton, washed and drained
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 3/4 tbsp red chilly powder(adjust)
  • large lemon sized tamarind, extract pulp
  • salt to taste
  • 1 1/2 tbsps oil

Make a coarse paste:

  • 3 medium sized onions
  • 3 green chilly 
  • 10-12 garlic flakes
  • 1 1/2″ ginger piece

Steps to prepare:

  1. Heat oil in a heavy bottomed vessel. Add the ground onion paste and stir fry for 5-6 mts. Add the washed mutton pieces and combine well. Cook for 8-10 mts or till oil separates.
  2. Add turmeric powder and chilly powder, combine. Cook for 2 mts. Add 2 cups water and salt and cook till the meat is three-fourth cooked. (you can use a pressure cooker)
  3. Add the extracted tamarind pulp, along with a cup of water and combine well. Let the mutton pieces simmer in this tamarind base for 20-25 mts or till the meat is cooked and you get the desired gravy consistency.
  4. Adjust salt. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  5. Serve hot
